Dr. Soma is licensed to diagnose and treat Scalp and Hair disorders and collaborates with Creave Head Spa and Salon in cases where clients may want to have scalp and hair problems medically evaluated.
Many common scalp problems including DANDRUFF, SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS and PSORIASIS are actually manifestations of internal disease such as Metabolic Syndrome. Dr. Soma can recommend and prescribe medicated shampoos to treat scalp problems as well as test, identify and treat internal medical problems that may be contributing to them.
HAIR LOSS may be due to a variety of causes that may include nutritional deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, infection, stress, or genetic predisposition.
Dr. Soma does a comprehensive medical examination in order to make a proper hair loss diagnosis based on a complete medical history, blood tests and most importantly, trichoscopic examination utilizing digital microscopy of the scalp and hair.
